This year marks NERIAME's 10th anniversary. To celebrate, the brand has teamed up with Taiwanese brands ILLAY and Do Something for Nothing for a three-way collaboration titled “Zihuatanejo.”
The project draws inspiration from a line in the film The Shawshank Redemption: “Hope is a good thing, maybe the best of things.”
In the film, the protagonist holds on to hope through every hardship, eventually reaching Zihuatanejo, the place of freedom he had always dreamed of.
We believe everyone should have their own Zihuatanejo — a place within themselves where they can find peace, embrace both the good and the bad, and fully experience every moment as it comes.
The three irregular circles in the graphic represent three zeros. Both ILLAY and NERIAME are celebrating their 10th anniversaries, while Do Something for Nothing is on its journey from zero to one.
Through this collaboration, the three brands come together to explore and express the shared theme of “hope.”
Continuing the concept of islands, the collaboration also reimagines NERIAME's iconic World Map T-shirt.
Alongside Zihuatanejo, the island symbolizing hope, D4N, NERIAME, and ILLAY have each hidden their own island within the map, complete with its own name and capital city.
